Inverness Half Marathon


DIRECTIONS TO THE INVERNESS SPORTS CENTRE Here we have provided easy to follow directions for you to get to the Inverness Sports Centre. Coming from: A9 SOUTH Follow the dual carraigeway all the way down into Inverness, passing the large "Thistle Hotel" on the left, approaching the Kessock Road Bridge roundabout, stay in the LEFT hand lane. At the roundabout turn LEFT (you will see roadsign for Fort William A82.). Follow dual carraige way now for about 400yds, and at next roundabout go straight on and follow roadsign for Fort William A82. Go straight on at the next two roundabouts, staying in the LEFT hand lanes, road markings "A82 and Town Centre". ( Take second exit on to Friar's Bridge (A82).) At the roundabout immediately after crossing the bridge, once again take second exit (Fort William A82). You will now be on " Kenneth Street ". At the T-junction (second set of lights) stay in RIGHT hand lane. The road signs indicate "Drumnadrochit, Invermorriston and Fort Augustus ". Turn RIGHT and follow the road along for approx. 1 mile. You will see the cemetery on the RIGHT. Immediately after the Cemetery Gates there is a turn off to the LEFT, signposted "Inverness Aquadome and Sports Centre". Follow the road round past the aquadome, and the Sports Centre is situated immediately behind it. Coming from: The EAST and the A96 Aberdeen / Nairn Road Follow the dual carraigeway into Inverness all the way to the "Raigmore Interchange" roundabout. Take the third exit on the left, signposted "Ullapool A835 and Wick A9". Follow the dual carraigeway along for half a mile, approaching the Kessock Road Bridge roundabout, stay in the LEFT hand lane. At the roundabout turn LEFT (you will see roadsign for Fort William A82.). Coming from: DINGWALL and the A9 NORTH Take the RIGHT hand lane after you come off the Kessock Bridge . Turn RIGHT (you will see roadsign for Fort William A82.). Follow dual carraige way now for about 400yds, and at next roundabout go straight on and follow roadsign for Fort William A82. Go straight on at the next two roundabouts, staying in the LEFT hand lanes, road markings "A82 and Town Centre". ( Take second exit on to Friar's Bridge (A82).) Coming from: The WEST and the A82 Fort William Road After passing the Golf Course as you come in to Inverness , turn RIGHT immediately after crossing the canal road bridge. On the left you will see a car park and the Sports Centre situated further over to the left.
