The Global Energy Inverness ½ Marathon starts along the banks of the River Ness near the centre of Inverness, the Highland capital. It then follows the river, running beneath the dramatic outline of Inverness Castle. A warm welcome finally awaits all runners as they approach the finish line on entering the city’s Queen’s Park Stadium – achieved by over 2500 runners in 2012 and many others over the decades it has been staged. This year there is considerable prize money up for grabs with the winner taking home £1000.
Are you a team player? The Global Energy 5K Team Attack is an ideal way for businesses and groups of friends to take part and benefit from team-building opportunities. Open to employees from all business sectors AND groups of friends or clubs, teams of four complete the 5K course with the fastest cumulative time as the target. Enjoy some friendly rivalry as you compete for a range of prize categories. If you prefer a team approach to sport then this is perfect for you – especially as the route is fun and scenic.
Promising fun, fresh air and fitness, and open to all ages and abilities, why not enjoy the sights and sounds of Inverness at your own pace at the Global Energy Inverness 5K Fun Run? For those who want to ease themselves gradually into the sport or simply raise money for good causes at a gentle pace, our 5K Fun Run could be the one for you. It’s a perfect way to get started.
